Bainbridge, NY - BAINBRIDGE - Florence Mae Fuller Ross, 91, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at Vestal Park Rehab & Nursing Center.

She was born June 4, 1934 in Cooks Falls. Florence was raised by her grandparents, Minnie Mae (Elmore) and Clyde Fuller.

In 1951 she was part of the graduating class at Roscoe Central School. On Oct. 7, 1951 she married Lee Ross. Together they raised three sons, Robert, Paul, Glen and a daughter Ella Mae.

Through the years Florence worked several jobs, as a teachers' assistant at the Greenlawn School in Bainbridge for 33 years, for an after school latch key program, summers at the Oquaga Creek State Park, then more than 40 years at the Sidney McDonald's. She served generations of families who would tell her she served them their first Happy Meal and now she was giving their child their first Happy Meal.

Florence enjoyed traveling on bus tours to NYC to see Broadway shows, taking ocean cruises, going to Holland to see the tulips, the giant Sequoias in California, hot air balloons in New Mexico and spending time at Black Lake with her granddaughter Stacia and great-grandson, Nicholas. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

Her hobbies included doing embroidery, cross stich and collecting snowmen.

Florence is survived by her children; 10 grandchildren: Stacia, Beth Anne, Jeremiah, Travis, Denise, Kristine, Carson, Glen Jr., Timothy and Enoch; several great grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; and her siblings, Vance McEntee and Mark Hinman and Shirley Froehlich.

She was predeceased by her beloved dog of 17 years, Dallas; her former husband, Lee; in-laws, Verna (Heinman) and Richard Ross; grandparents; mother, Amy; two brothers, Donald and David McEntee; and a sister Margaret McEntee.

Florence will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Memorial contributions in Florence's memory may be made to the animal organization of one's choice.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 27, at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main Street, Sidney

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 28 in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Bainbridge.
