Unadilla, New York - UNADILLA - Francis Grimes Phelps Sr. passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Deposit, to Dr. Joseph Phelps and Regina Grimes Phelps.
He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy; son, Jay and Allison Phelps; daughter, Megan and Ron Allen; grandchildren, Amanda and Alexa Phelps, and Payton and Killian Allen; and brothers-in-law, Mark and Randy Payne, with whom he shared a once-a-week get-together for beer to solve world problems. Fran is also survived by his loving nieces, Grace, Willa, Hana and Rita; nephew, Riley; and many great-nieces and great-nephews who loved their Uncle Franny.
Fran's life will be celebrated from 2 to 6 p.m., Sunday June 2, at the Unadilla Rod and Gun Club.
