George Francis Kiakis Jr. Obituary

MORRIS - George Francis Kiakis Jr., 67, of Morris, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025, at Strong Memorial Hospital. George was born on March 19, 1957, in Holyoke, Massachusetts. and is survived by his father, George Sr. On June 24, 1978, he married the love of his life, Debbie Shutts.

George served in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years and in the National Guard for 19 years.

George worked as a quality assurance auditor at KDP in Waterbury, Vermont, retiring in 2022. He was an avid golfer and bowler. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. George was a member of the Laurens American Legion, where he loved to cook.

George is survived by his wife, Debbie; daughters, Amanda (Shane) Finch and Nicole (Mike) Hoyt; grandchildren, Aidain, Ryan, Makenzie, Grady, Keenan and Payton. George was truly devoted to family.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects from 5 - 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 31, at Johnston & Stanimer Funeral Home, 60 Broad St., Morris.
