STAMFORD - Helen M. Heil, 87, died on Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016, at Robinson Terrace Nursing Home in Stamford.
An area resident from 1987, moving here from Fort Lee, New Jersey, she was a retired employee of Saks Fifth Avenue in New York City.
She was active in the community as a member of the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Stamford, Harpersfield Senior Citizens, Stamford Improvement Association, Catholic Daughters of America, Community Hospital Association, Friends of Music Board of Trustees and Stamford Village Library Association.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., today, Friday, Feb. 26, by the Rev. Michael G. Cambi, Pastor, at Sacred Heart Church. Interment will be later in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Contributions in her name may be made to the Delaware County Animal Shelter, Stamford Village Library and/or the Stamford Rescue Squad.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Hall-Tari Funeral Home under the direction of William A. Tari.
