Garrattsville - GARRATTSVILLE - Henry Carl Gregory, 82, of Garrattsville, returned to the arms of our Holy Father on Monday, Sept. 16, 2024.

Henry is survived by his sons, Shad (Mary) and Seth (Kiley); brother, Roman (Donna); sisters, Helen Sinniger; Evelyn Rowe; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Frank and Linda Wenz and his beloved dog, Lily. He was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Connie Elizabeth; parents, John and Julia (Grzywna); brother, John, sisters, Anne Koslosky, Anna Schoellig and Veronica.

Henry was born Tuesday, Feb. 10, 1942 in Burlington Flats. Henry worked many jobs throughout his working carrier in addition to running his dairy farm on Gregory Road. He volunteered at the Garrattsville Fire Department for many years. He married Connie Elizabeth Ward on Nov. 7, 1970, at St. John's Lutheran Church.

Henry raised his two beloved sons on their family farm. In addition to farming, he enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling and spending time with his friends and family. He could often be heard singing to the hills while on his farm tractors, as driving machines of all shapes and sizes was his passion. He was creative, concise, hardworking and loyal to his friends and family. Henry loved animals not only on the farm, but his beloved dogs of all shapes and sizes that lived with him throughout the years.

A celebration of his life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Garrattsville Fire Department. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until a short service at noon. A reception will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or the Susquehanna SPCA in memory of Henry.

Special thanks to caregivers at Chase Memorial Nursing home in New Berlin for the time and care they showed Henry during most of the past two years.
