Decatur, NY - DECATUR - Henry Edward Hren, 94, of Decatur, peacefully went to God on Aug. 15, 2026, the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, in Albany.

Henry was born on July 25, 1932, in Decatur, to Leopold and Antoinette (Skerl) Hren.

Henry is survived by his wife, Jean, and their children, Mary (Ford) Oxaal of Cohoes, Fritzi (Michael) Kloecker of Meadville, Pennsylvania, Margie (Brad) Stockwell of Troy, and Vicky (Cary) Myers of Guilderland, as well as by his "daughter-in-love", Mary (Hank) Hren, of Johnsonville; 23 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Henry is predeceased by his sons, Edward Hren and Henry ("Hank") Edward Hren, Jr.; granddaughters, Christine Stockwell and Angelina Myers; his parents; sisters, Marie Fedor and Elsie Conte; and brothers, Leo, Joe, Tony and John.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 20, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 201 Main Street, Worcester, and will be con-celebrated by Reverend Joseph Arockiasamy and Reverend Charles Onyeneke.

The family kindly requests that flowers not be

A private burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
