Guilford, NY - GUILFORD - Herbert E. Zindle, Sr. 93, passed away peacefully at home on July 17, 2025 with his family by his side.
He was born July 10, 1932 in Milford, the son of Harry and Lucy (Kildee) Zindle.
Herb was a United States Army veteran.
He married Barbara J. Ackerman on Dec. 21, 1954. She predeceased him on May 29, 2019.
He is survived by his children, Wayne Zindle, Darlene and Eric Fawthrop, Herbie Zindle, Kathleen and Mark Palmeter, and Joseph Zindle; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; sister, Pansy Thomas; brother, Earl Zindle; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a grandson, Gerald Allen; siblings, Violet Hadley, Dorothy Nobes, Rosie Osborn, and Joan Howard.
At his request there will be no services. A family celebration will be at a later date.
