DELHI - Hilda F. Henness, 92, of Delhi, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 19, 2018.
Born on Feb. 7, 1926, in Albion, Nebraska, Hilda was the daughter of the late Hero and Frieda (Fredewold) Goldhammer.
Hilda was married to Emory Henness, the couple enjoyed 57 years together until his passing in 2009.
Hilda and Emory operated the former Henness Sales and Service in Delhi for many years. She was also a full-time homemaker bookkeeper and mom. Hilda enjoyed helping other families with childcare though out the years. Her passion was children.
She is survived by three children, Norma Jean Henness, Delores Ann Lamourex, and Richard Henness (Arthene LaValley); five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and Scooter, her feline companion.
Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 23, at Hall & Peet Funeral Home, 134 Main St., Delhi. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. A celebration of life will be announced later.
