SPRINGFIELD CENTER - Jacqueline Ann Schecher, devoted wife and loving mother, passed away Oct. 24, 2024 at the age of 91. She was born Jan. 15, 1933, the daughter of Theodore H. and Anna K. Rositzke.

Jackie and her husband Henry built their home in Springfield along with the help of their children and friends in 1971. Their door was always open and there was always an extra seat at the table if someone stopped by. She loved cooking, sewing and caring for her loved ones.

Jackie was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Henry J. Shecher Jr.

She is survived by her son, Henry Schecher III and wife Sandra; and daughter, Katherine Millenbach and husband Michael; four granddaughters, Emily (Eric) Liston, Amanda Schecher, Charlotte Lerma, and Sarah (William) Plymell; seven cherished great-grandchildren, Natalie and Benjamin Liston, Phinn and Eli Pryor, Olivia Lerma, and Jackson and Hunter Plymell.

Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6 at Ottman Funeral Home at 22 Church St. in Cherry Valley, with service immediately following at 1 p.m. A private burial will take place in Springfield Cemetery at the convivence of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Susquehanna SPCA, Springfield Fire Department, or a charity of your choice.
