James H.  Palmer
MARYLAND - James H. Palmer, 72, passed away Oct. 1, 2019, at home, surrounded by family and his beloved wife of 54 years.
James was born Jan. 23, 1947, Delhi, the son of Robert C. and Glenna (Baker) Palmer.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed his time in nature with his collection of exotic birds. James was a member of the Robert Riddell Hunting Club.
James and his wife took many family vacations and they were passionate about traveling and music.
James retired from Corning after many years of service, where he became great friends with Bob and Linda Adams.
James is survived by his wife, Janet (Couse) Palmer; children, Wendy (Palmer) and Jerry Berba of Kissimmee, Florida, Jim and Jessica (Barrett) Palmer of Maryland; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Tasha, Briana, Brittney, Katie and Katrina; great-grandchildren, Mason, Landon, Bentley and Noel "baby doll;" brother, Dan Palmer of Oregon; and sisters, Janice Button of Florida and Joanne Fink of Norwich.
James requested there be no memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catskill Area Hospice.
