DELHI - Jamie R. Hughs, 42, of Delhi, formerly of Walton, passed away suddenly Wednesday evening, Nov. 21, 2018, at O'Connor Hospital, after suffering a heart attack.

He was born April 4, 1976, in Sidney, son of the late Richard J. Hughs Sr. and Sandra G. (Decker) Wright.

Jamie enjoyed drawing and was a gifted artist. He also liked playing the guitar and enjoyed playing video games. Jamie's greatest joy was his family. His children were very important to him.

He was married to Sarah Sheldon on June 9, 2018.

Jamie is survived by his wife, Sarah; children, Kaleigh, Gracie, Nolan and Finley and was expecting a fifth child, a boy, due to arrive soon; his mother, Sandra (James) Wright; mother-in-law, Ferrissa Sheldon; father-in-law, Robert Miller; siblings, Kathleen (Bernel) Cobain, Rick (Laura) Hughs, Rodney Hughs, Roger Hughs, Jason Wright, Bernie Wood, Jon (Ashlee) Wood, Jessica Wright and Joy Harris. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 1 to 3 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 29, at the Hall & Peet Funeral Home, 134 Main St., Delhi, where a funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
