BAINBRIDGE - Janice I. Hoag, 83, passed away Monday, March 24, 2025, at A.O. Fox Memorial Nursing Home. Janice was born on May 17, 1941, in Walton and was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Budine) Burghart.

Janice was a lifelong child day care manager. She also worked at many various jobs touching many lives. She was a member of the Pines Brook Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star in Oneonta and Bainbridge. Janice loved her grandchildren and would spend every moment she could with them. She enjoyed being outside, especially taking care of her garden. Janice would plant a variety of vegetables to be able to can them to enjoy all winter long.

Janice is survived by her daughter, Denise (Jamie) Page; sons, Daniel (Leila) Wormuth and Michael (Heather) Wormuth; step children, Leticia Bush, Edward (Shawna) Hoag and Cheryl (Wayne) Cotton; brother, Robert (Rita) Burghart; sister-in-law, Dorothy Dibble; nine grandchildren, Todd (Allison) Harmon, Greg (Alicia) Harmon, Cody, Brianna, Collen, Corey, Nicholas, Sean, Ayana and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Emmy and Matson Harmon and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Richard; son Roy William Wormuth; brothers, William Burghart, Raymond Burghart and Roy Burghart.

A graveside serve will take place at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 8th at Hillington Cemetery, State Highway 23.
