Mrs. Jeanne Rae Chase Raffo Obituary
New Paltz, NY - NEW PALTZ - Jeanne Rae Chase Raffo, 90, of New Paltz, passed away peacefully July 9, 2025, surrounded by family. Born in Grand Gorge in 1934, she cherished small town life in the Catskills. Jeanne later served as a medical secretary and then a stewardess with American Airlines, traveling internationally before settling in New Jersey where she raised three children with her beloved husband, Thomas J. Raffo.
Known for her warmth, style, and compassionate listening, she welcomed family and friends into her home in Packanack Lake and later Southampton. Returning to "her mountains" after Tom's passing in 2020, she enjoyed close proximity to her children and grandchildren. Jeanne is survived by her three children, Lisa, Thomas Jr., and Bill, and five grandchildren.
A private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements by Copeland-Hammerl Funeral Home in New Paltz.
