Jillian Ann Nappi Obituary

JEFFERSON - Jillian Ann Nappi, 17, of Jefferson went home to be with the One who crafted her and numbered her days on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016.

She lived her beautiful life to the fullest, living each day for itself and making her own rules for it. She believed that she wasn't guaranteed a next and so, fully embraced each one.

Jillian loved helping others and always fought for the underdog. She helped many friends overcome obstacles in their lives through her belief in Jesus Christ and His great sacrifice for her and others. She had a word of encouragement and the gift of her sweet spirit available to all that had need. She left the sparkle of her laughter and smile wherever she went.

She loved to play soccer and did it very well in her position as sweeper for the JCS modified, junior, and varsity teams. Jillian could often be seen training for the season running with her beloved pit bulls.

Jillian loved being outdoors and, in her younger years, enjoyed riding her dirt bike with her daddy and her sissy. She would often be heard singing a song under her helmet as she passed you by. Jillian loved riding snowmobile with her daddy, and also running, swimming in the pond, and suntanning on the deck. She loved to play her piano and played the keys for her church worship group. She had a sweet, strong voice and brought glory to God each Sunday. Although not perfect, she understood redemption and grace and that forgiveness is available to all who ask. She believed in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour and because of this, her family is comforted by the assurance of her new, perfect life with Him.

Jillian was employed by Brooks' House of Bar-B-Q in Oneonta, where she enjoyed working with her fellow coworkers, and also helped her mom in her parents' tile store. She was great at making small talk and the customers in the store always asked for her.

Jillian is predeceased by her maternal and paternal grandfathers; great-uncle, Johny; and dearly loved uncle, Bob.

She is survived by her parents, Tom and JoAnne; sister Sabrina, who she loved, admired, and respected; grandparents, Amelia Ricciardella, Marie Traver, and Tom and Nancy Nappi; and many, many members of her church family and friends she held dear to her heart. She will be deeply, deeply missed by her family and friends. All are welcome to join her family to say "see you later" rather than "good-bye" at the Upper Room Christian Church, 83 North Kortright Church Road in Davenport on Tuesday, Nov. 8. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. with the service following at noon.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Hall-Tari Funeral Home, under the direction of William A. Tari.
