COBLESKILL - Joan Marie Miller, 70, of Margaretville, died on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017, at Amsterdam.

She was born Dec. 30, 1946, at Margaretville, the daughter of Donald R. and Phyllis (Bellows) Dickman.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Daniel Miller; and her second husband, the Rev. David Bugler.

She had a longtime nursing career working for several hospitals and lived in Cobleskill. She was working at Bassett Healthcare in Cobleskill Hospital as a nursing administrator.

She was a very active member of St. James Episcopal Church in Oneonta.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling, baking, sewing and walking with her pet, Mork.

She is survived by her mother, Phyllis Dickman; two sons, Donald and Michael Miller; sister, Susan Conine; brother, Robert Dickman; two stepsons, Stephen and Jonathan Bugler; and grandchildren.

She was also predeceased by a sister, Myra Dickman; and her father, Donald Dickman.

The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, Jan. 9, at the Hynes Funeral home in Margaretville. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Hunter. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service.

Committal prayers will be held at a later date.

Donations in memory of Joan Marie Miller may be made to the Bishop's Relief Fund at the Episcopal Diocese in Albany or the Bassett Healthcare at the Cobleskill Hospital.
