John T. Niles Obituary
WEST EDMESTON - John T. Niles, 98, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 16, 2020, in Hamilton, following a brief illness.
He was born on May 16, 1921, in Allamuchy, New Jersey, a son of the late Frank J. and Lena Teed Niles.
On March 27, 1948, John married Rosemary Hills, who predeceased him on Oct. 22, 2008. He was was also predeceased by his brother, Harold, in 1993, and by his sister, Eva, in 2001.
In the 1930s and 40s he worked on the family dairy farm as a partner with his father and later as sole owner. Raising beef cattle followed until he was in his 80's and then he retired to gardening.
Surviving are his children, Wayne, David (Lisa), Stephen (Bronwen), Roger (Jamie) Niles McCall, Daniel (Jennifer Lynn), Stanley (Elvira) and Timothy. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Kimber Pritchard and children, Clay, Paul and Rosemarie, David Niles Jr.; Benjamin Niles and children, Avery, Celee and Noah, Carol (Stephen) Lewis and children, Zoe and Gavin, Colan (Heather) Niles and children, Briana and Kaylan, Christopher Niles; Regina Niles and daughters, Cassandra and Alicia, Matthew Urben, Amanda (John) Griffing and children, Claire and Andrew, Thomas Urben and son, Alexander, Jordan Niles and Derek Niles.
Graveside services will held at a later date in West Hill Cemetery.
