MARGARETVILLE - Jose Bravo, 69, died Sunday March 5, 2017, at Margaretville.
He was born on Oct. 18, 1947, at Santurce, Puerto Rico, the son of Raymond and Dalia Bravo.
He was a young child when his family moved to Brooklyn.
He served in the Vietnam War with the 101st airborne Army Rangers. He was a Purple Heart recipient.
He moved to the Catskill mountains after the Vietnam War and fell in love with the mountains. He enjoyed having fun and always had a smile on his face and was full of life and love.
He is survived by his children, Joseph Bravo, Isaac Bravo, Anthony Bravo, Christopher Bravo, Rachel Bravo, Joshua Joseph (J.J.) Bravo, Hope Bravo and Jacob Bravo; and many grandchildren.
Funeral prayers will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 11, at the Hynes Funeral Home, Margaretville.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, March 10, at the funeral home.
