ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. - Joseph Nicolosi, 93, formerly of Richfield Springs, passed away on March 13, 2021, in Florida.
He was born on Nov. 18, 1927, in Union City, New Jersey, a son of the late Antonio and Annunciata Procopio Nicolosi. He was raised and educated in Union City.
Joseph served his country during World War II in the United States Navy, he was stationed on the USS Caney, USS Biscayne, and lastly the USS Reina Mercedes.
On June 11, 1949, he was united in marriage with his wife, Audrey. Theirs was a blessed union of 54 years until her passing in 2003. Joseph and Audrey relocated to Richfield Springs in 1972. He worked for Remington Arms in Ilion until he retired in 1989. Joseph was an avid golfer.
Surviving him are his sons, John and David; daughter, Jayne Nicolosi; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service for Mr. Nicolosi will take place at 1 p.m., Sunday, June 13, at J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 W. James St., Richfield Springs.
