DELHI - Katherine Dickman passed away on Jan. 12, 2021.

She was born on the family farm near Treadwell on Jan. 31, 1926, the daughter of the late Edward and Beulah (Fisher) Sutherland.

She graduated from Treadwell School and SUNY Oneonta and was an elementary teacher for Delaware Academy in Delhi.

Katherine loved cooking for others, going to garage sales and wintering in Florida for many years. Most of all, she loved her family.

Katherine married Robert Dickman on July 3, 1948, a union that lasted until his death in 2008.

She is survived by her daughter, Lucinda "Cindy" and her husband, Kim Scanlan of Delhi; her sons, Robert "Bob" Dickman of Fanning Springs, Florida and Edward "Jake" Dickman and his wife, Gail White of Davenport; her grandchildren, Melissa Williams (Chris Nordberg) of Sidney, Jeff Scanlan (Tressa) of Delhi, Jessica Fleming (Matt) of Treadwell, Christa Mrgan (Neven) of Portland, Oregon, Robert Dickman (Iga) of Fanning Springs, Florida, Sarah Waid (Jason) of Davenport, Kirsten Stoop (Jeff) of DeLancey, Emily White (Maddie) of Denver, Colorado, Emilee Dickman of Edenton, North Carolina and Erienne Dickman of Edenton, North Carolina; great-grandchildren, Elijah and Jacob Williams, Valeska and Soraya Fleming, Lila and Cooper Waid, Margaret "Maggie" Stoop, Thompson Westmorland and Olive and Zell Mrgan; also by special friends, Marilyn Guy, Betty Moylan and Pamela Kitchen.

The family thanks Jason Waid and the staff at Robinson Terrace for taking care of her.

Burial will be at a later date in Andes Cemetery.
