Morris, NY - MORRIS - Kathryn M. (Swiantek) Pasternak of Oneonta and Morris, passed away peacefully April 2, 2026, at the age of 91.

Kay was born May 9, 1934, in Albany, to Andrew and Jennie (Gorski) Swiantek. She grew up in Utica and graduated from St. Francis DeSales High School then attended Utica School of Commerce.

Kay married James E. Pasternak in 1956. Once married, Jim and Kay lived in Utica, Ohio, Indiana and Oneonta, before settling in Morris in 1966 to raise their family of six children. Kay and Jim moved back to Oneonta in 1988.

Friends and family are invited to visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, at Johnston and Stanimer Funeral Home, 60 Broad Street, Morris. Her funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 15 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 39 Walnut Street in Oneonta. Her committal service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 16 at Crowne Hill Memorial Park in Clinton.
