ROXBURY - Kathy Carr passed away on April 13, 2021, at Kingston Hospital.
She was born at the family homestead on Carr George Road on Oct. 21, 1952. Kathy grew up with 11 brothers and sisters.
Married to Joseph Carr in 1973, they had two children, Michael Bruce and Joseph John, both of Pennsylvania.
Kathy worked mostly in the restaurant industry as a waitress, including Buds, the East Branch and Tastebuds.
She loved completing jigsaw puzzles — some of which are framed; old movies, music and playing games.
Kathy was predeceased by Steven E. Ballard, Kevin R. Ballard, Susan (Ballard) Scannapieco, Carolyn R. (Ballard) Johnson and John T. Ballard.
Kathy is survived by her sons; Michael's wife, Becky; five grandchildren; as well as Richard C. Ballard, Phyllis Kochersberger and Ted, Joyce N. Thomas and James K. Ballard, Patricia Johnson and Steven and Marilyn Stripp; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday April 21, at Miller Funeral Home in Roxbury. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Richard A. Dykstra officiating. Burial will follow in Vega Cemetery.
Arrangements and care are entrusted to Miller Funeral Home, Roxbury.
