Kathy Lynn Rosa Obituary

Delhi, New York - DELHI - Kathy Lynn Rosa, 58, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021, following a long battle with Huntington's disease.

Born on Aug. 29, 1962, she was the daughter of the late Pete and Linda (Ackerley) Rosa of Bovina.

A 1980 graduate of South Kortright Central School, Kathy then attended SUNY Oneonta graduating with a degree in psychology. Soon after she began working for Delaware County Social Services until she retired in the early 2000's.

Kathy had a radiant personality and contagious smile, a social butterfly, who made friends everywhere she went. She enjoyed music and singing, often being asked to sing for many weddings of her family and friends. She loved animals, especially her dachshunds, Jessie and Sophie. Kathy had an undeniable love for her family and enjoyed hosting Thanksgiving dinner and throwing backyard barbecues. Even though Kathy never had children she loved her nieces and nephew as her own.

She is survived by two brothers, Doug (Mary) Rosa of Delhi and Jeff (Lisa) Rosa of Endicott; nephew, Nicholas Rosa of Vestal; nieces, Alyssa (Adam) Cox of Vestal, Haley Rosa and Brandy Rosa both of Delhi; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 27, at Hall & Peet Funeral Home, 134 Main St., Delhi.

Graveside services will be held at noon, Saturday, Aug. 28, in Bovina Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Kathy may be made to Huntington's Disease Society of America www.hdsa.org.
