Oneonta, NY - ONEONTA - Kellen Richard Gould, 19, of Norwich and Oneonta, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026. He was born on Dec. 22, 2006, in Cooperstown, to Andrew Gould and Alisha Simonds.

Kellen was a graduate of Norwich High School and DCMO BOCES, where he studied building and trades. He was actively working in the field, putting his skills and strong work ethic to use.

From a young age, Kellen had a special gift for making people laugh, yet he also possessed a remarkable ability to comfort others during the most stressful times. An unapologetic and firm believer in Jesus Christ, he was always ready to share his faith and evangelize to those who were receptive. Though he was dyslexic, Kellen never let it define him or limit what he could learn or achieve. Strong-willed and passionate, he enjoyed engaging in lively debates on topics ranging from politics to video games. Kellen could typically be found with a friend or two on any given day, and one friend in particular, Jacob "Jake" Hagenbuch.

Kellen is survived by his father, Andrew Gould, and stepmother, Sarah Gould; his mother, Alisha Simonds; siblings, Devon, Elsie, and Aesha Gould; grandparents, Richard and Laurie Gould of Sherburne, Scott and Mary Ann Simonds of Oneonta; bonus grandparents, Brad and Lynn Keator; and aunts and uncles, Scott Simonds Jr, Christopher Gould, and Chastity Norton, Isaiah and Ericka Keator, Rebekah Keator, Ezekiel and Jessica Keator, and Angel Audette-Keator. He is also survived by a close cousin Destiny Button. He will be deeply missed by many other loving relatives and friends

A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 28, at Chenango Christian Church, 211 State Route 320, Norwich, NY 13815, with calling hours from 2 p.m. until the time of the service, at the church.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
