CINCINNATI, Ohio - Kristy Conlin, 52, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at her home in Mount Lookout. She was born on July 11, 1968, in Oneonta.

A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, Kristy had a Bachelor of Arts in journalism with a minor in Hispanic culture.

She served as editor-in-chief of the UC News Record. Kristy was the managing editor at F+W Media, copy director at Advent Media Group, and most recently, she worked as a freelance writer, editor and artist.

Her passions included her love of creating art, caring for her pets and astronomy. Skye, Sig and Lena meant the world to her. She was at her happiest creating art and jewelry in her studio.

Kristy was proud and joyous in her support of several local pet rescues and a volunteer at the Cincinnati Observatory. She was an ardent supporter for human rights.

Kristy is survived by her husband and best friend, Jay Conlin; parents, John Janiszewski and Judith (Dick) Dougherty; sisters, Sonia (Pat) Sullivan and Anna Janiszewski; brothers, Luke (Missy) Janiszewski, Stefan Janiszewski and Neal (Jacqueline Taylor) Janiszewski; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A family celebration of Kristy's life is being planned at her family's Wildflower Farm in her hometown of Delhi.
