SPRINGFIELD CENTER - It's in our deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Larry E. Smith who died peacefully Oct. 13, 2024 at the age of 74 years. He was the son of late Claude Myrtle Smith.
A loving father, grandfather and great grandfather Larry's life was defined by the love of his family, his love for his two dogs, Simone and Iris and his deep passion for automobiles.
He is survived by his children, Melissa Johnson and William (Siobhon) Leuschner; grandchildren, Jazlyn (Corey) Yalch, Adian and Anastasia and great-grandchildren.
May he rest in eternal peace, with the engines he so loved roaring in the distance.
