Lillian Mae Olsen Obituary

Bloomville, NY - BLOOMVILLE - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, who left us March 21, 2025, to enter into the gates of heaven.

Lillian Mae (Heck) Olsen, 83 of Bloomville, born April 24, 1941 in Oneonta, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. A friend to many, she was a cherished member of the community, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength. She worked at SKCS for more than 40 years, retiring in 2024. SKCS was a second family to her. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, thrifting and spending time with her family. She truly felt blessed in many ways throughout her 83 years of life.

Lillian was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Eva Heck; daughter, Camie Jo Latta (Ted); grandson, Jeremy M. Burdick; and siblings, Charles Jr. (Betty) Heck, Robert (Marion) Heck, Josephine (Mike) Mongillo, Wayne (Margo) Heck, and Mildred (Ralph) Babcock.

Lillian was the "baby" of her family. She leaves behind daughters; Christine (Scott) Brown, Constance (Keith) McLean, and Colleen (Michael) Alexander; grandchildren, Arthur (Shauna) Choate Jr., Phillip West, Jessica (Jaime) West, Matthew Olsen, Kaitlyn (Max) Turovtsev, Tyler (Lacey) Latta, Keith McLean Jr., Amber Eve Alexander, Lance Alexander, and Luke Brown; great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Alayna, Annaleise, Keylanah, Maile, Ripley, Maverick, Freya Lilliana, Nikolai, Silvia, and Grayson; along with many wonderful nieces and nephews, in-laws, colleagues, students, and friends.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the people who assisted in making it possible for Lil to remain comfortable in her home in her final days. Her granddaughter Amber Eve, caregivers Victoria Watson, Samantha Roupp, Brenda Czaja, and Helios Care provided excellent care and companionship at the end of her life.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 28, at MacArthur Funeral Home, 15 Buntline Drive, Stamford. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29, at Bloomville United Methodist Church, 35 Church St., Bloomville, burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery in Bloomville. Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life following the service at the Bloomville Fire Department, 243 Scotch Hill Rd, Bloomville.
