DELHI - Linda M. Smith, 75, passed away in the early hours of Jan. 27, 2022, at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
Born Nov. 21, 1946, Linda was the daughter of Howard D. and Gertrude M. (Chase) Parmenter.
She enjoyed her roles as a beloved mother and grandmother.
She was employed for many years at Sanyo Sewing/Valley Fashions in Oneonta, until it closed. She went on to retire from Covidien/Mallinckrodt Pharmaceutical in Hobart.
Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, exploring her family history, knitting, crocheting and doing custom diamond dot art for her friends and family. She was an avid science fiction fan and loved to watch the wildlife around her home.
Linda was predeceased by her parents; and in 1971 by a daughter, Dana M. Goedel.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Janet (Alex) Ross of Davenport; granddaughter, Alexandria Ross of Buffalo; and her companion of several years, Nick Baldassano of Delhi.
At Linda's request, there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
