SCHENEVUS - Lloyd G. Stilson Jr., 63, of Schenevus, formerly of Citrus Springs, Florida, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2023, at his home, with family by his side.

Lloyd was born Oct. 2, 1959, in Oneonta, the son of the late Verna (Hewitt) Harkenreader, and the late Lloyd G. Stilson Sr.

He graduated from Norland High School in Miami, Florida, in 1978.

Lloyd recently retired from the Village of Cooperstown where he worked in road maintenance as a labor/operator for many years. Previously he worked for Citrus County, Florida, in road maintenance, and several paving companies in past years.

Lloyd "Butch" loved working on his property, clearing the land, gardening and landscaping. His greatest passion was being outdoors.

He also enjoyed home improvement projects on his 123-year-old house, watching Westerns and football. Lloyd also enjoyed traveling all over the USA and on many cruise ships in the Caribbean.

Lloyd is survived by his wife, Kim (Platt) Stilson and stepdaughter, Tracy Weimer. He is also survived by his brother, Randolph (Louise) Stilson of Ormond Beach, Florida; sister, Rita (Robert) Martin of Bellevue, Michigan; Verna Sue (Jimmy) Kale of Lafayette, Georgia, Samuel (Patty) Capps of Otego; and Candace (Robert) Hassman of Cooperstown; and many nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by his former spouse, Linda Stilson of Citrus Springs, Florida.

Lloyd was predeceased by his brothers, Richard Wagner and Billy Stilson.

A celebration of life will be held at 345 Burroughs Road, Schenevus, at 1 p.m., Sunday, July 23.
