MARYLAND - Logan J. Haner, 20, passed away after a tragic accident on Oct. 16, 2024.
He was born Sept. 22, 2004 in Cooperstown, the son of Eric Haner and Cherri Morell Jones.
Logan graduated from Schenevus Central School. He enjoyed most sports but had a true love for baseball, golf and the demolition derby. He was a bright and funny guy, who loved to dance, have a good time, and make people laugh. Logan was a volunteer fireman at the Schenevus-Maryland Fire Department. He was also an avid trap shooter at Milford Fish and Game. He always gave the best hugs and will forever be cherished.
Logan worked with Snyder's Builders and was currently employed at Pickett Building Materials.
He is survived by his parents, Cherri and Shannon Jones and Eric and Michele Haner; siblings, Brady Haner (Jordan Yager), Kaitlyn Finch, and Casey Hutzel; grandparents, Edwin and Kathy Nirschl, Robert and Wanda Agans; great-grandmother, Helen Kelly; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Ray Morell, Stanley and Leona Haner; great-grandfather Larry Kelly; and uncle Alan Haner.
Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. with the service officiated by the Rev. Frank MacCracken, starting at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Schenevus Central School at 159 Main St. in Schenevus.
