MORRIS - Lois K. Kogut, 98, of Morris, passed away peacefully on Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, at A.O Fox Memorial Hospital.
Lois was born on June 16, 1925, in Utica, the daughter of the late Clifford and Mary (Durheimer) Onyan.
She married the love of her life, John Kogut, on April 16, 1946. He passed away on March 21, 2022.
Lois was a proud graduate of Chadwicks High School and St. Elizabeth College of Nursing.
Lois is survived by her two sons, Paul C. (JoDee) Kogut, of Hamilton and Jon N. (Deborah) of Morris; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister in-law, Carol Dudek of Clayville; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Lois was also predeceased by her sisters-in-law, Jennie Roberts, Mary Jarecki, Anna Okraski and Josephine Bennett; and brothers-in-law, Edward Kogut and Leo Kogut; and several other cousins.
Family and friends are invited to call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 18, at Johnston & Stanimer Funeral Home, 60 Broad St., Morris. Her funeral will follow at 1 p.m.
Burial will take place privately at the family's convenience in Sunset Hill Cemetery in Clinton.
Her family has entrusted her care to the Johnston & Stanimer Funeral Home in Morris.
