Oneonta, New York - ONEONTA - Louis Arthur Berrios, beloved son, brother and uncle, passed away unexpectedly, Dec. 12, 2025 at Albany Medical Center. Louie suffered from chronic kidney disease, which led to his untimely passing. By the Lord's Holy Mercy he no longer suffers as God has called him home to heaven. He was 31.
Louie was born March 11, 1994 in Oneonta the son of Louis Stephen and Debra (Healey) Berrios. An Oneonta native, Louie graduated from Oneonta High School the Class of 2012.
He was a musician, handyman and a lover of the outdoors especially fishing. Louie took pride in fitness and loved working out.
Louie is survived by his parents, Louis and Debra Berrios; sisters, Alanna (Gabe) Manning and Emily (Sean) Medina; nephew, Kayden Medina; maternal grandparents, Helen and James Healey Sr.; paternal grandparents, Fred and Marcia Berrios; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours will be held from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, at the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main Street. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 19, at St. Mary's Church, 39 Walnut Street, Oneonta with the Rev. Christopher Welch officiating. Following the Mass there will be a reception at Louie's childhood home, 44 College Terrace, Oneonta, all are welcome. Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery will be held in the spring.
