OTEGO - Marcella A. (Krom) Myers, 73, residing in Otego, went home to be with the Lord, following a short, courageous battle with cancer, May 6, 2016, while visiting family in Bel Air, Maryland.

Born in Durham on Dec. 21, 1942, she was the daughter of James and Myrtle Krom.

Marcella was well-known for her career in advertising sales at both the Catskill Mountain News and The Daily Star, among many other accomplishments.

She loved spending time with her family, including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She truly loved her two "girls," Honey and Sugar.

Marcella was a self-made, very independent person, who also loved gardening and flowers.

She is survived by her daughters, Julia and her husband, Arnie Davis Jr. (owners of Audibel of Oneonta), Shirley Norris and fiancé, Steven Hall and Christiana Larsen and husband, Michael Troy of Bel Air, Maryland; five grandchildren, Dawn Jaquish, Brittany Tompkins, Amber Shaver-Burrows, Justin Davis and Ashley Larsen. Also surviving are several brothers; sisters; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and other extended family.

Besides her parents, Marcella was predeceased by two of her beloved sisters, Eileen and Diane; beloved brother, JoJo; and grandson, Jeremiah.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, May 14, at the Abundant Life Church, 79 Assembly Lane (off Meredith Street/St. Hwy 28) Delhi. A funeral service will follow at 4 p.m. at the church.
