Worcester, NY - WORCESTER - Marian E. Roy, 75, passed away May 6, 2025 at Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown.

She was born July 4, 1949 in Fulton, the daughter of Gordon A. and Betty (St. Pierre) LaBarge.

Marian moved to Worcester from the Fulton area in 1969. She was a member of the Worcester Book Club, and delighted in reading to the children at the Worcester Library. She was an avid bowler, and belonged to the Worcester, Oneonta and Cobleskill bowling leagues. Marian enjoyed knitting, cross stitching, and counted cross stitching. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, as well as camping and reading.

She is survived by her son, Gregory Roy of Oneonta; granddaughters, Casey Roy (Alan Coronado), Hunter Roy (Ben Leombruno), and Bailey Roy; daughter-in-law, Melissa Roy of Oneonta; brother, Phillip (Susan) LaBarge of Florida; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son, Michael Roy on Sept. 6, 2013.

Visitation will be 3 p.m. to the funeral service at 4 p.m. Monday, May 12 at Heller & Skinner Funeral Home, 155 Main St., Worcester, with the Rev. Rus Underwood, officiating.

Burial will be in Cobleskill Rural Cemetery at a later date.
