Marilyn S. Wickham Obituary

DELHI - Marilyn S. Wickham, 92, of Delhi, passed away Jan. 22, 2025 at Evergreen Commons Nursing Home in East Greenbush.

She was born Feb. 5, 1932 to Jane and Kenneth Stoutenburg in Walton and graduated from Oneonta High School in 1949 as class valedictorian.

Marilyn worked at Oneonta Public Loan Co. until her marriage to Richard Wickham in 1952. She then became office manager at Wickham Sales and Service in Delhi until its closing in 2006.

She was a 69-year member of the First Presbyterian Church of Delhi. During their 66 years of marriage, she and Dick enjoyed traveling, antiquing and the company of their many faithful dogs.

Marilyn was predeceased by her husband, Richard, parents and sister, Patricia. She is survived by her niece, Kathy Fennell, two grandnephews, two great-grandnieces and cousin, Harold Swanson, of East Greenbush.

Friends and relatives are invited to call from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29 at the First Presbyterian Church, 4 Clinton St., Delhi, where a service will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Jamie Tyrrell officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Delhi.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Delhi or the Heart of the Catskills Humane Society.
