Lockport, NY - LOCKPORT - Mark H. Allen, 56, passed away unexpectedly Feb. 5, 2026 at Kenmore Mercy Hospital, Buffalo, with his family by his side.

Born May 28, 1969 in Oneonta, he was a son of the late Floyd and Patricia (Supple) Allen.

Mark enjoyed spending part of his summer as a child with his grandparents in Somers, on their Angus cow farm. In high school, along with many lifelong friends, Mark was an avid and dedicated football player for the Oneonta Yellowjackets. After graduating in 1987, his education took him to Marist College to study accounting. It was there where he was able to establish numerous close friends, many of whom he still stayed in touch with on a regular basis. Mark graduated from Marist in 1991 with a degree in accounting. After completing his CPA certification, Mark relocated to Lockport, where he met his long-time partner, Melissa Patterson. In 2005 Mark and Melissa welcomed the birth of Amanda (Mandy). Mandy was Mark's pride and joy. He was always proud of her accomplishments and loved to share her successes. Along with Melissa and Mandy, Mark was able to run his own accounting firm for more than 25 years. Mark was also a true Michigan Wolverines football fan as well as a true believer of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Mark is survived by his brothers, George (Elizabeth Murwin) Allen and Scott Allen, both of Oneonta; daughter Amanda Allen, and partner, Melissa Patterson both of Lockport. He is also survived by his uncles, George Supple of Victor, and John Supple (Diane) of Lincolndale; and aunts, Marie Jean Hawes of Newtown, Connecticut, and Mary Miller of Windsor. Mark is also survived by many close cousins as well as Melissa's family in western New York.

The family will welcome friends and family in two locations in the coming months. The first will be from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, March 28 at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. Interment will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 25, in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Emmons. All are welcome to celebrate Mark's life at the Northway Brewing Hop House, 709 County Hwy 33, Cooperstown, immediately following the burial.

Mark considered his and his brother's Labrador retrievers family.
