Orlando, Florida - ORLANDO, Fla. - Mary Ellen, 86, passed away peacefully at her residence in Orlando, Florida July 14, 2025.
Born to Luvern and Louise Walker in Truxton March 14, 1939, she was raised in Ithaca before attending SUNY Delhi, where she met her future husband, Leonard Burdick. Mary Ellen and Leonard were married on Sept. 26, 1959 in Ithaca and became longtime residents of Oneonta. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Oneonta Elks Club #1312.
Mary Ellen was predeceased by her husband Leonard and her son, Daniel Burdick of Ithaca. She is survived by her son, Brian and wife, Shelly Burdick of Orlando, Florida; grandchildren, Kelly Burdick of Elmira and Xander Burdick of Orlando, Florida.
A celebration of life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Aug. 2, at Elks Club, 84 Chestnut St., Oneonta.
