MILFORD, Pa. - Mary Virginia (Waterman) Edge, 76, of Milford, Pennsylvania, died Monday, Nov. 16, 2020, at Newton Medical Center in Newton, New Jersey.

Mary was born and raised in Delhi, to the late Osman Wilcox Waterman and Ruth (Feasel).

After graduating from Delaware Academy Central School in Delhi, Mary obtained an associate degree in secretarial science from Becker Junior College in Massachusetts. Her goal was to become a medical secretary. She worked several years in New York City for international medical equipment companies and later for advertising agencies in New York, Florida and Washington, D.C. Mary also operated her own business, Black Sheep Wool. Her last job was working for New York Life in Manhattan where she commuted daily between Milford and NYC until her retirement in 2006.

In her younger years, Mary was an award winning 4-H exhibitor. She was very athletic in high school playing basketball and field hockey. Mary had a heart of gold and caringly gave much to her family and those around her. She had a particular love of cats and helped shelter many homeless cats over the years. She was creatively talented in needlework, the weaving loom and other art works. Mary also enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and canoeing.

In addition to her parents, Mary was also predeceased by her brother-in-law, Joel Stark; and her nephew, Jim Boehner.

She is survived by husband of 14 years, Charles "Chuck" Brader; brother, Frank Waterman and wife, Cynthia; sister, Arlene Kraat Stark; friend and former sister-in-law, Jeanette Waterman; nephew, David Waterman; and nieces, Karen Lee, Natasha Boehner and Kathy Bechtold. She also leaves behind great-nieces and great-nephews, Jeramiah, Nathaniel, Chase, Karilynn, Brianna, Colin, Jessa, Jake and Josh; and great-grandniece, Amelia.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until noon Saturday, Dec. 5, at the Wood Funeral Home, 16 Main St., Branchville, New Jersey. Funeral services will follow at noon at the funeral home.

Burial of cremains will be at a later date in Woodland Cemetery, Delhi.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
