Mavis M. Lindstadt (Mave) Obituary

COOPERSTOWN - Mavis M. "Bernadette" Lindstadt, 74, passed away Monday, Oct. 7, 2024, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse.

Born Jan. 14, 1950 in Cooperstown, she was the daughter of "Pudge" and Marjorie (nee Camp) Gallup. She was a proud member of the "CCS Class of '68." Mave married her classmate and middle and high school sweetheart, Homer Lindstadt in 1970 and they shared 55 wonderful years of married life.

Mavis is survived by her husband, Homer, their sons, Brian, and Matt (Ashley) and their two granddaughters, Hannah and Chloe, whom she loved and adored. She is also survived by her in-laws, Harry Lindstadt (Lana) and their children Laura, Faye, and Craig, and by Homer's sister, Judy, her husband, Richard Gardner and their son, Howard, as well as by Homer's brother, Herb, all of whom she also loved and respected. She is also survived by many dear and special friends, among them Raecine Shurter, Billy Gallup, Bobby Talbot and Linden Summers III. Mave was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Larry and her brother-in-law, Howard.

In accordance with Mave's request there will be no visitation or service other than a burial/committal service in the Hartwick Seminary Cemetery in the near future.

Homer and his family wish it to be known that they truly appreciate the love and support they have received from their many friends.
