DELHI - Neil Alonzo Rohner, 59 of Delhi, passed away early Wednesday morning, Nov. 14, 2018, at O'Connor Hospital, following a courageous battle with appendix cancer.
Born June 24,1959, in Delhi, he was the son of the late Nicholas J. and Claudine F. (Hait) Rohner.
Neil was a self-employed entrepreneur, a franchise owner of several Subway locations in the Capital District.
He had a passion for cooking and was a gifted artist and ice skater.
Neil had a "good eye" for quality antiques and collectibles and loved animals.
Neil's greatest love was for his family. He enjoyed spending time with them.
Besides his parents, Neil was predeceased by his siblings, Alvin, Robert and Elsie Fuller and Joan Rohner.
He is survived by siblings, Mary Lou Oliver of Delhi, Jan (Bruce) Chappell of Navarre, Florida and Doris (Gary) Miller of Kehonkson; several nieces and nephews, including Abigail (Cody) Losie of Oneonta and Noah Oliver of Boston, both of who he was very close; and numerous cousins.
Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Nov. 24, at the Hall & Peet Funeral Home, 134 Main St., Delhi, where a memorial will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Neil may be made to the Delhi Fire Department or Heart of the Catskills Humane Society.
