WEST LAURENS - Nicholas P. Mason, 92, passed away on Nov. 20, 2023.
Nick, son of Nicholas P. Mason and Sarah Virginia (Smith) Mason, was born in Iowa.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Johnson) Mason; children, Deborah (Duane) Trask, Kathy (Randy) Phoenix, Pete (Elaine) Mason and David (Earline) Mason; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Nick and Margaret worked a dairy farm in West Laurens for many years before moving to Florida. Nick was a life member of the West Laurens Fire Department and was at one time a member of the Laurens Central School District Board of Education. There will be no services. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in late spring or summer. Nick's local funeral services have been entrusted to Johnston & Stanimer Funeral Home in Morris.
