OK was born in Walton, on May 1, 1930, to the late Kennon and Constance (Osgood) Peck.
OK's younger years were spent growing up in Granton until the construction of the Cannonsville Reservoir began. Then, at the age of 16, OK and his parents moved to Walton.
OK was a graduate of the Walton Central School District.
After high school, OK was drafted into the United States Army where he worked as a carpenter in Germany from 1951 to 1953. After his honorable discharge from the military, OK worked at Scintilla in Sidney, which is now known as Amphenol Aerospace.
On Dec. 1, 1956, OK married the love of his life Virginia "Ginger" Smith. Then, in 1964, OK and his family moved to Indiana, where he attended Tri-State University and earned a degree in civil engineering.
As a civil engineer, OK worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad and then the Civilian Corps of Army Engineers, until retirement. After retirement, OK and his family moved back to Walton, and he opened his own machining and welding shop.
OK was a talented man, machinist, and welder. He could build or fix just about anything from farm machinery to airplanes.
OK's hobbies included working on small engines, fishing, playing bridge, watching football, smoking his pipe, and telling jokes. He enjoyed traveling to Zephyrhills, Florida, during the winter months with his wife Ginger, and he enjoyed riding his tricycle around the streets of Buffalo.
