Binghamton, NY - BINGHAMTON - If you couldn't find Patty in a crowd, you weren't listening. Everyone who knew her could find her by her laugh. It was a conspicuous, full-bellied, magnetic sound. Her matching smile would draw anyone close to hear the story she was telling, or more likely, a joke tinged with potty humor.

But on July 15, 2026, the world got a little quieter.

Patty was predeceased by her mother, Cheryl Rose Ryan, and her father, Daniel Joseph Ryan. The centers of her life are her son, Ryan Owens, of Binghamton, and daughter Chynna Moore of Brooklyn. Her sisters, also the keepers of embarrassing childhood photos, are Cheryl (Alex) Chan of Hubbardston, Massachusetts, Bridget (Matthew) Snell of Duxbury, Massachusetts, and Meaghon Ryan of Princeton, Massachusetts. Late in her life, Patty was introduced to her birth mother, Peggy Cage, and her half-brothers Jason (Grace) Cage, of San Antonio, Texas, and Daniel (Marshley) Cage of San Antonio, Texas. Patty and Daniel became quite close.

Calling hours and memory sharing will be held for Patty at 3 p.m. Aug. 4 at Ogden-Hillcrest United Methodist Church, 1061 Chenango St., Binghamton. A celebration of her life will be held in Treadwell at a later date.
