Norwich - MORRIS - Patricia Ann Sherwood, 87, of Morris, passed away at Norwich Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on Thursday May 4, 2023.

Patricia was born on Feb. 21, 1936, a daughter of the late LeRoy and Ruth (Southern) Sherwood.

Patricia was employed for most of her life by Hartwick College as a Xerox manager, guiding and training many employees and students throughout her years.

In her free time, she enjoyed knitting and reading. Pat was an avid sports enthusiast who enjoyed all sports, but especially youth bowling and ice hockey. She was a faithful member of the American Legion in Morris.

Patricia will be remembered as a very family-involved person who kept her circle of friends small and close to her heart. She loved all that she became close to and would do anything for those she loved.

Patricia is survived by her sisters, Sarah "Sally" Sargent, Donna (Larry) Drake; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother, Frederick "Tebby" Sherwood; sister-in-law, Kay Sherwood, and lifelong companion, Lyle Springett.

Family and friends are invited to attend her graveside service at 10 a.m., Friday, June 9, in Hillington Cemetery in Morris with the Rev. William Lytle officiating.

Memorial contribution in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5 Oak Ave., Sidney, NY 13838.

Patricia's family has entrusted her care to the Johnston & Stanimer Funeral Home in Morris.
