Richard V. Hoag Obituary

UNADILLA - Richard V. Hoag, 84, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2023, at his home in Unadilla.

He was born on Nov. 12, 1938, to the late Glenn and Gertrude (Wilson) Hoag of Morris.

Richard worked at Bendix Corp. as well as being a carpenter for many years, which he thoroughly enjoyed. He was an easygoing man who never had a bad word to say about anyone.

Richard is survived by his wife, Janice; children, Leticia Bush, Edward (Shawna) Hoag, and Cheryl (Wayne) Cotton; stepchildren, Denise (Jamie) Page, Danny (Lela) Wormuth, and Michael (Heather) Wormuth; sister, Dorothy Dibble, grandchildren, Corey, Nicholas, Sean, Ayana, Todd, Greg, Cody, Brianna, and Collin; several great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Richard was predeceased by his nephews, James Pedersen and Jason Lobdell; and son-in-law, Donald "DJ" Bush.

Calling hours will be held at Johnston & Stanimer Funeral Home, 60 Broad St., Morris, from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, May 5.

A private graveside service will be held in Hillington Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Richard's family has entrusted his care to the Johnston & Stanimer Funeral Home in Morris.
