Richard Michael Roveland Obituary

Richard M. Roveland passed away holding the hands of his loving children at Binghamton General Hospital's Palliative Care Unit after facing several health challenges.

He was born and raised in Brooklyn, to the late Michael S. and Elvera M. (Blanco) Roviello.

He is survived by his daughter, Blythe (Barrett) Roveland-Brenton; son, Michael (Dena) Roveland; granddaughter, Clara Brenton; and step-granddaughter Allison Rudnicki. He is also survived by his former wife and mother of his children, Marilyn Roveland; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He had a special bond with his brother-in-law, Gary Jones.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Lawrence and Alan Roviello; daughter-in-law, Darlene Roveland; and nephew, Luke Roviello.

A memorial to celebrate his life will take place at a future date for family and friends.

Contributions to the Fresh Air Fund (www.freshair.org) or local food bank of one's choice may be made in Richard's memory.

Richard's family has entrusted his care to the Johnston & Stanimer Funeral Home in Morris.
