MARGARETVILLE - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert E. Gray Jr., "Bobby," of Margaretville. He died unexpectedly on Dec. 6, 2021.

Bobby was born Dec. 4, 1968, to parents Ellen Gray of Margaretville and Robert E. Gray "Ed" Sr. of New Kingston.

Bobby was a hard worker with many talents. He was a meticulous landscaper and had a knack for building stone walls. He was employed, for many years by Jerry K. Mead and Sons, a local pool and contracting company owned by his beloved Uncle Jerry.

Bobby enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports. He loved animals and found joy in helping care for his cousins' many horses. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

He is survived by his parents; daughter, Shay McCauley (Eric); grandson, Dakodah of Michigan; sister, Tammy Fischer (Andrew); niece, Kayla Ann of North Carolina; close cousins, Jerry Mead, wife, Lisa and son, Jack of Margaretville, Dr. Shauna Mead (Arthur Choate) and their four children of Oahu, Hawaii; and many more loving relatives.

A private memorial is planned for a later date. May he rest in peace.
