Logan, Utah - LOGAN, Utah - Robert "Rob" Lewis Gifford passed away peacefully Sunday, Feb. 22, 2026 in Logan, Utah after courageously battling multiple health complications for many years. His son and a special friend were by his side at the time of his passing.

Rob was born May7, 1963 in Utica, to the late Stephen and Madeline Austin Gifford. He was the youngest of six siblings. His earliest years were spent on the family dairy farm on Paris Hill where he developed a strong work ethic.

Rob began school at Sauquoit Valley Central and graduated from Unatego Central School in 1981.

He began working at Brooks' House of BBQ in Oneonta. He then worked for the Keith Clark Company in Sidney for many years.

Rob had a wide range of interests including restoring old cars and taking them to local car shows where he won many awards. He was especially proud of his 1960 Chevrolet convertible. He also enjoyed cooking and taking a shrimp wagon to local events where he won awards.

Rob enjoyed traveling, including family trips to Florida and cruises to Bermuda. He also enjoyed trips to the Maine Coast. Rob had a great sense of humor and enjoyed retelling humorous anecdotes he had seen and heard.

Rob was predeceased by his parents, Stephen and Madeline; brother, Randy; and his former wife, JoAnn. He is survived by four siblings, Diane (Norman) Woodruff, Dawn (Kevin) Baker, Ronald (Virginia) Gifford, and Stephen (Judy) Gifford; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and also a special friend, Linda Hosier. The joy of his life was always his family: his son, Robert Jr., daughter-in-law Courtney, and grandchildren, Charlotte, Weston and Everleigh. Rob moved to Logan to be near them in his later years. He was a much loved and important part of his family. He will be greatly missed. Burial will take place at 11 a.m., May 7 in Crown Hill Memorial Park in Kirkland.
