CONESVILLE - Robert "Bobcat" Haskin was born in Conesville on the Haskin family farm to Evelyn (Young) and Leonard Haskin.

Bob was a lifetime dairy farmer with a passion for working with his beloved horses. On the side, he also hauled milk, canned milk, logged, delivered gravel, and drove school bus for Gilboa. In addition, he served Conesville as town councilman for many years. He was and still is loved by many.

He is survived by JoAnn, his wife of 32 years; children, Sarah (Gene) Cronk of Roxbury, Melinda (Gary) Koerner of Gilboa, Joe (Paula) Haskin of Gilboa; stepdaughter, Pamela Young of Rotterdam; step daughter-in-law, Renee Young; special pet, Lucy; along with his brother, Tom (Pat) Haskin of Gilboa.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Antha (Corbin), Eugene, Brooke, Jesse, Lacey (Tyler), Danny (Natalia), Joey, Jessica (Dennis), Josh, Riley, Shannon, and Robbie (Danielle); great-grandchildren, Madison, Fede, Silas, Dominique, Lucas, Charlotte, Jeremiah, Aleigha, Aiden, Peyton, William, Tamzin, Sara, and Jacob. He also had many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He shared a special bond with his nephew, Steve "Beaver" Haskin, with whom he spoke daily.

He was predeceased by his parents; brother; Reggie; stepson; Matthew Young; and former wife; Irene Fancher.

Bob helped many of his neighbors start excavation businesses. He was a large part of his community and will be missed by many. He was fortunate to have his granddaughter Jessica Mattice help him through his final journey. Bob suffered from COPD for years and it finally ended his life. Anyone who knew him loved him and will forever cherish the memories created with him.

Services will be held on Thursday, June 23, at Conesville UM Chapel Church, Conesville. Viewing will be from 10 a.m. until noon with a memorial service led by Pastor Dottie Morris at noon followed by burial in Prattsville Cemetery. A gathering will take place at the Conesville Fire House immediately following burial.
