Morris, NY - MORRIS - Robin Carol Spaulding, aged 84, passed away unexpectedly at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich Feb. 13, 2026, from acute complications of a chronic lung disease. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing.

Robin was born in Baltimore, Maryland. She grew up with her grandparents, Robert and Durrell Forbes. She attended and graduated as an honor student from public school in Billerica, Massachusetts. Robin was first employed as secretary to one of the vice-presidents at RCA/VICTOR in New Jersey, where she saw the lunar rover as it was prepped with cameras for travel to the moon!

On May 6, 1961, she married her husband, Barry W. Spaulding, Sr. This May would have marked their 65th wedding anniversary. She and Barry moved to Morris, in 1966 to begin their long-lived career as dairy farmers on Concord Green Farm. It was in Morris where they raised their four children. Robin was an integral part of the success of the farm operation. She handled all the accounting responsibilities and worked every day in the barn with Barry, tirelessly performing often very hard labor.

When she wasn't at the barn, Robin was an excellent cook; the wonderful smells of cooking food coming from her kitchen were soul warming. Meals were cherished times around the table for conversation and connecting with family. She was an excellent homemaker, who ran a very tight ship, as was needed to keep the house in order and raise four children! At the time she passed, her home on the farm continued to be neat and tidy.

Robin was very intelligent with a quick wit, and she loved a person willing to debate or banter with her. Her honesty and forthrightness were renowned and she would thoughtfully offer advice. She was an avid reader who enjoyed books of all kinds. Mystery and detective stories were some of her favorites. She loved going to the Morris Public Library.

Our mom was a great lady, treated people fairly and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandma and great-grandma. She leaves behind her husband Barry Spaulding Sr., son Barry Jr. and wife Mary, son Scott and wife Michelle, daughter Carrie and husband Wayne, daughter Amanda and husband Matthieu, 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. We all miss her dearly.

In her younger years Robin worked diligently to obtain donations for the American Cancer Society. She donated to several charity organizations and was a very devoted contributor to the St. Jude's Children Fund. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Morris Public Library, American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

As were her wishes, Robin donated her body to the Anatomical Gift Program at The Albany Medical College, where she will be an important part of teaching young physicians about anatomy. No formal service will be held, and we ask people who knew Mom take a moment to cherish the memories shared.
