DELHI - Rose Marie Bush, 88, of Delhi, passed away peacefully early Monday morning, Jan. 18, 2021, at O'Connor Hospital, Delhi, following a long illness.
Born on Jan. 29, 1932, in Sidney, Rose was the daughter of the late Charles and Naomi (Merritt) Northup.
She worked for many years for Rolling V Corp. in Walton as a monitor and only retired a few years ago.
Rose enjoyed bowling and was a league bowler and competed in national tournaments. She also enjoyed crocheting and loved the outdoors, swimming, fishing and taking in all that nature had to offer. One of her greatest joys was her family. She was a loving mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother.
Besides her parents, Rose was predeceased by her husbands, Leroy Jones and Caleb Bush Jr.; daughter, Linda Utter; granddaughter, Renee Utter; and sister, Julia Lewis.
She is survived by her children, Diana (Donald) Norton of Plattsburg, Arletta (Daniel) Brandenburg of Delhi and John "JP" (Carol) of Walton; grandchildren, Desire (John), Deidre (Nate), Dustin, Danny, Jason (Marcy), Savannah (Bucky), Brandon (Gerri) and Stephanie (Todd Sr.); 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; siblings, Jeanette, Sharon, Shirley, Pat and Charles; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Graveside services and a celebration of life will be held later at a date to be announced.
